Got BAD Vibrations? 106 St. Tire & Wheel Introduces Hunter Road Force Balancing at its Location at 106-01 Northern Blvd |718-446-6769 | Open 24/7 Inc. Holidays
106 St. Tire & Wheel has announced additional technology is available to its customers at 106’s main location in Corona. A new Hunter Diagnostic System has been added and it’s especially useful for finding the cause of vibrations in steering and tires. It’s also able to diagnose asymmetrical wheel issues that can cause excessive tire wear, damage to suspension and unsafe steering and handling.
The Hunter System is a computer simulated road test demonstrating actual road force conditions that a tire is exposed to when in use as opposed to the traditional wheel balancing systems which measures only and “up-and-down” imbalance. The Hunter System utilizes a more dynamic balance. It measures not only “up-and-down” motion of tires but also “side-to-side” motion thereby providing better overall balance while reducing visible tire weights on wheels.
A 106 St. spokesman stated, “It’s estimated that the average size tire rotates at approxi-mately 850 times per minute when the driver does about 60 mph. At this speed, small variances in balance can cause major issues like excessive tire wear and handling and steering issues as the rotation of the tire slams the wheel into the ground 14 times a second.”
106 St. Tire & Wheel is offering introductory specials to customers starting immediately. The spokesman stated, “We are offering specials so that our customers can get a better ride…using this technology really improves handling…it’s like riding in a new car. Also, this is one more way 106 St. is working for the community to help utilize the technology of the modern tire dealer. Less tire wear results in less gasoline consumption and with each and every step we take, we help reduce pollution.”
