106 St. Tire & Wheel to Present Talk on Nitrogen

106 St. Tire & Wheel will be hosting the Queens Chamber of Commerce’s “Breakfast before Business” at 8:30AM on October 29th 2010 and presenting a brief video and talk on the advantages of nitrogen tire fill.

The video features one of America’s most famous celebrity car collectors, Jay Leno, star of the “Tonight Show,” who is a spokesman for GetNitrogen.org, a group advocating for the use of nitrogen fill.

Nitrogen tire fill has been in use by the U.S. military, Air Force One, NASCAR, the airlines and NASA for nearly a decade. Nitrogen fill lasts longer maintaining the proper air pressure in tires longer and, therefore, saves consumption of gas. It’s estimated that the wide spread use of nitrogen tire fill in our cities could improve air quality dramatically by having us burn 3.8 billion fewer gallons of gas a day.

A spokesperson for 106 St. Tire & Wheel stated, “With childhood breathing issues increasing and asthma occurrences spiraling, it’s important for we Queens residents to act now in the best interest of our kids, neighborhoods and the planet.”
