TPMS.....what the heck is THAT?
Tire pressure has an enormous influence on the safety and efficiency of cars and 106 St Tire & Wheel can reset or replace the TPMS or your tire pressure monitoring system sensors which are actually an electronic system that keeps a watchful eye on the air pressure inside your tires. The TPMS report is an actual real time tire pressure information sent to the operator of a late model car via a gauge on the dashboard.
Every year incorrect tire pressure causes thousands of accidents which lead to millions of dollars worth of property damage, missed days at work, medical costs, and deaths for a hundred or more people.
When our articles and blogs are written 106 St Tire & Wheel is always urging our customers to keep their tires properly inflated for many reasons the most important is safety and because our staff and management lives in Queens like you probably do as well, 106 St Tire is concerned with air quality. Most of us are raising kids in Queens and because of emissions, due to burning gas we don’t have to burn, the emissions pollute the air making air quality an important aspect of the health of seniors and kids. And, reducing emissions can be as easy as stopping by one of 106 St Tire locations http://www.106sttire.com/locations and considering nitrogen fill …nitrogen fill lasts longer than compressed air, checking your tire pressure, testing your tires for slow leaks, etc. All of the above solutions are given to customers free by 106 St Tire & Wheel. http://www.106sttire.com/nitrogen-fill
Customers can who purchase 4 new tires or 4 used tires get wheel alignment free and nitrogen fill free at 106 St Tire! Can we make it any easier than that? Yes, we can, we check tires and inflate tires free, as well. 106 ST Tire & Wheel participates in community minded solutions because we are solution oriented. Our kids are next to your kids in Queens schools. Rates of asthma in children are skyrocketing. Reason: AIR QUALITY.
To provide just a little history about TPMS, this electronic system while new to most was first incorporated into luxury European cars in the 1980s. The very first use of TPMS came in the 1986 Porsche. In 1997, General Motors introduced TPMS in the 5th generation Chevy Corvette in conjunction with Goodyear tires. By 2007 during Bill Clinton’s administration, the THREAD ACT was set forth making it mandatory for all vehicles produced after September of that year.
These days TPMS are included in all cars made around the world to save lives. 106 St Tire & Wheel resets these gauges in all its locations 106-01 Northern Blvd, 118-02 Merrick Blvd, 79-20 Queens Blvd. 45-13 108 St, our Northern Blvd shop is always open all year long, all night long and TPMS reset and replacement services are available along with new and used tires, wheel alignments, oil changes, tire repair, etc all the time except Christmas day.
